Condition

-the logo at the bottom of the bezel is almost gone from previous polishing
-the strap is worn and splitting near the lugs and buckle
-the crystal has a light scratch on the top half
 
I really like Ulysses Nardin watches and would love to won one of their more imaginative and very expensive creations like Le Freak but this particular watch, while not outrageous in its design, is still inordinately attractive and quite unusual. Much like a Rolex is a Rolex, even at a distance; there is something about Ulysses Nardins that make them immediately recognizable on the wrist.
 
This one has had a real life and not been a drawer queen. At some point someone buffed it and eroded the signature on the bottom of the bezel and the watch band is original and does show considerable wear. All that said this watch is absolutely charming and noteworthy.
 
I spoke to a watchmaker as I was interested in perhaps changing the bezel and putting a new watchband on it. This was not instinctual but I thought as much as I like it others may not perhaps I should look into restoring it. The watchmakers conclusion on seeing it, leave it the hell alone.. It is far more appealing in its present form, something I absolutely understand as a restorer of classic cars. It’s only original once.
 
It runs really well and the display case back shows what a show Ulysses Nardin puts on under the face.
 
Great watch and an excellent price for an 18k and stainless watch from such a significant maker.

All watches come with a one year warranty. In-house warranty does not cover water or moisture damage. It also does not cover any physical damage to the watch including, but not limited to: watch bezel, straps, screws, crown/ stem, finishes, clasps/ buckles, watch case, crystal, watch band/ bracelet, any lost or missing stones/ gems on the watch/ watch face.
